The Association of Residential Cleaning Services International will become part of the larger ISSA-The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association as part of a merger to be finalized Jan. 1, 2017.
ISSA is a $16 million-revenue association in Northbrook, Ill. ARCSI is a $368,000-revenue group in Columbus, Ohio. Under the terms of the merger, ARCSI will become a division of ISSA.
"We couldn't be more excited about this merger and the benefits, resources and power it will bring to our membership," ARCSI CEO Ernie Hartong said.
ARCSI members will retain their ARCSI memberships, but those memberships will expand to include global ISSA membership and benefits. The groups did not say what staff changes—if any—would take place after the merger.
"The line between commercial and residential cleaning has grown closer in recent years, and the merger of ISSA and ARCSI is yet another move toward creating one strong, unified industry," ISSA Executive Director John Barrett said. http://bit.ly/2eCrH1U
